Tartan in the colours wool already has. This Highland throw wears the MacKellar Natural sett — oatmeal, camel and mid-brown set against cool grey, with a herringbone that shows in the light. No scarlet, no forest parade green: just the palette of undyed and earth-dyed yarn.
The cloth is a soft, warm wool blend, light enough to move from sofa to chair to bag, heavy enough to stay put. Traditional fringe finishes the ends in the same greys, tans and browns.
It sits easily on pale linen, oak and stone — Scottish check that behaves like a good tweed. For a MacKellar household, a quieter gift, or anyone who wants heritage texture without a shout of clan colour.

My review Isn't based on the quality of the product as i must say the quality is lovely, however my review is based on the customer service. I had accidently ordered the wrong colour as i wanted the dark maple and as that one being the first picture I didn't realize there was a drop down box to select different colours. So upon delivery i emailed as per the returns policy asking if i can send back the one i had received in exchange for the one i wanted. However i sent this email Friday as soon as i received the order and its now end of play on Monday and I've still not received an email to say they are processing my email or have been given options for a refund or exchange, When buying something it would be nice if the returns/exchange was seamless and stress free.
Love the Dark Maple blanket from Heritage of Scotland! Quality is wonderful and comes with info on the origins of the plaid. This one to represent the autumn colours of Canada.
