The Clan Badge Strachan is a classic Scottish clan crested badge, proudly displaying the Strachan crest as a mark of heritage and allegiance. In ancient times, a Clan Chief wore a distinctive badge on his helmet in battle, allowing his followers to recognise him amid the turmoil. This emblem, known as the Crest of the Chief, appears at the top of the Chief’s full coat of arms and is traditionally worn within the strap and buckle garter to signify clan loyalty.
Those who bear the Strachan name, as well as descendants through recognised Sept families, have the privilege of wearing or displaying this crest. A timeless traditional accessory, it is perfect for Highland dress or as a meaningful symbol of Scottish ancestry.

The Japanese call the 4th generation Yonsai. George Strachan is my paternal Grandmother's ("Gram's") grandfather therefore I am Yonsai to George. I love this clan badge and wear it every day and get a lot of compliments. I like the Latin Motto of the Strachan Clan "Non Timeo Sed Caveo." Also "Deo Adjuvante Nihil Timendum" is worthwhile.
